Benefits of Castrating Your Husband

Castration is the process of removing one or two testicles. Or, using anti-androgen drugs to suppress testosterone production in men. Its origin dates back to over 4000BC in different societies across the world.

Earlier societies practiced it for various purposes. For example, population specialization and controlling the rising population. Also, castrated men served as staff in palaces. Some communities saw eunuchs as outcasts.

In the modern world, castration is practiced for the following purposes:

  • Gender affirmation in transgender people
  • Prevention and treatment of hormone-related cancer in men
  • Part of punishment among prisoners convicted for sexual violence
  • Medical reasons such as testicular pain

There have been occasional reports of women castrating their husbands. In most cases, as an act of revenge against cheating or divorcing. In some of these incidences, the men have died due to over bleeding. As a result, the women face murder charges.

If you are looking to castrate your husband, discuss it with him. Talk through the reasons and potential benefits. The decision has to be consensual. If you agree, seek the services of a surgical urologist.

Castrating your husband without his consent is a form of gender-based violence. If you do it yourself, he could get health complications or succumb to death. In such a scenario, you risk facing murder charges.

Benefits of castration

Reduces aggression

Testosterone plays a crucial role in men’s physique and behavior. It promotes muscle development, hence the muscular physique in most men. It also makes men aggressive.

Since castration lowers the level of testosterone, it may ease a man’s aggression. If your husband has been aggressive, castration may help to take away the aggression. Also, see a psychologist for the aggression issue. They will diagnose and treat any psychological issues.

Reduces sex drive

One of the most common reasons women castrate their men is due to infidelity. A high libido that does not match yours may be a reason for your husband to step out, it is not always the case. Other times, a man may have a porn addiction that they would like to curb. In both cases, castration may help as the low testosterone levels may lower sex drive.

Treating prostate cancer

One of the most common strategies for treating metastatic prostate cancer is castration. Androgen deprivation therapy and surgical castration have shown to be effective. Prostate cancer feeds off testosterone to keep developing. Castration, whether chemical or surgical, cuts off testosterone supply starving the cancer cells.

This method of treatment is most effective in the early stages of cancer. It helps to ease symptoms associated with cancer. E.g., urinary obstruction and testicular pain. It also improves the outcome of immune therapy and chemotherapy for cancer treatment. Also, castration is a preventative measure against prostate cancer. Unfortunately, there are cases of castration-resistant prostate cancer.

Increases one’s life expectancy

According to one Harvard study, women have a longer lifespan than men. In the US, women outlive men by 5 years and up to 7 years worldwide. Other studies argue that castrating men resolve this discrepancy in life expectancy.

A Korean study showed that eunuchs live 14 years longer than uncastrated men. According to the study, testosterone hurts men’s immunity. It lowers their immunity and increases their risk for heart disease and cancer. Men have a higher level of testosterone than women. So, the negative impacts of the hormone are more adverse on them.

Natural birth control method

Women have struggled with finding an effective birth control method for a long time. As a result, more and more women are advocating for men to take responsibility for birth control. Aside from using condoms, vasectomy is the second-most popular option.

Although not a popular option, castration can be an effective method of birth control. For birth control, surgical castration is the most effective method. Since it involves removing the testicles, your husband will not be able to produce semen. As such, he cannot impregnate you.

Alleviates testicular pain

There are many conditions and diseases that may cause testicular pain. For instance, tumor, testicular torsion, infection, twisted testicles, epididymitis, and vasectomy. Most of these conditions can be treated to reduce the pain. But, if testicular pain persists, castration may offer a permanent solution.

Disadvantages of castrating your husband

Although castration may have certain advantages, it also has some disadvantages. The most common side effects of castration include:

  • Shrunk testicles
  • Shrunk penis
  • Hot flashes
  • Penis fatigue
  • Breast tenderness
  • Growth of breast tissue
  • Loss of muscle mass
  • Decreased libido
  • Anemia
  • Weight gain
  • Osteoporosis
  • Insulin resistance
  • Loss of body hair
  • Low libido or erectile dysfunction
  • Change in blood lipids
  • Increased risk of diabetes and high blood pressure

With a decreased libido, your sex life with your husband may never be the same. In some cases, castrated men are not able to have an erection. So, they cannot have intercourse. Also, their urge to have sex will be far between.

Methods of castration

There are two main methods of castrating for men:

  • Chemical castration
  • Surgical castration

Chemical castration

Also known as hormone therapy, hormone suppression therapy, or androgen depressive therapy. Urologists administer pharmaceutical drugs on the men to lower androgen production.  The androgen interferes with the normal testosterone hormone production cycle. It is a common method of treating hormone-related cancer in men. E.g. prostate cancer and breast cancer.

The male body produces two main types of androgens: testosterone and dihydrotestosterone. The testicles make up to 95% of the testosterone while the adrenal glands make up to 5%. The Luteinizing Hormone produced in the pituitary glands regulates testosterone production. It signals the testicles and adrenal glands to release testosterone.

The doctor administers a drug that promotes production of luteinizing hormone. The hormone signals to the testicles and adrenal glands to release testosterone. The testosterone floods the body for a few weeks.

When the levels of Luteinizing hormone increase, the pituitary glands inhibit its production. This inhibits the production of testosterone. Within a few weeks, the circulating testosterone reduces to low levels.

Chemical castration is an ongoing treatment. Your husband will need to continue taking the hormones as prescribed. Depending on the type of LHRH agonist used, he may need to get a dose every month or after a few months. Usually, the drugs are either injected, swallowed, or implanted under the skin.

Chemical castration is reversible. Hormone production resumes normalcy as soon as you stop taking meditation. It causes side effects that may be irreversible with long term use of the drugs. Some doctors recommended complementary therapy treatments to manage the side effects.

Surgical castration

It is the surgical removal of one or both testicles. It is also referred to as orchiectomy. It lowers testosterone production in the body by up to 95%. Doctors carry out this procedure on an outpatient basis. It is a permanent procedure that is irreversible

Subcapsular orchiectomy is a less invasive alternative for surgical castration. It involves removing the glands that produce testosterone and keeps the scrotum intact. Some patients prefer to have artificial testicles inserted into the scrotum.

Conclusion

In the modern world, most men are castrated for medical purposes. As a method of treating or preventing prostate cancer or persistent testicular pain. Individuals or couples can agree to have the man castrate the man. For reasons such as to lower sex drive or as a family planning method. Either way, it should be consensual and carried out by a surgical urologist. Castrating your husband against his will is illegal and could lead to jail time.
